Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native she was born into Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. However, her parents did not let her perform until she reached the age of adulthood due to the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry was a shy teenager and did not act. Her first acting experience was in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred from Boston University. Perry made her debut with New York after graduation, landing minor role in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homesickness led to Perry return to California and pursue a career as a stage actress. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway with her mother. In 2015, she starred together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played nine roles in the ABC drama The Family, in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC drama about politics Scandal, starring her dad. That same year she was cast as a younger version of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger character of her mom's character. The role was given to her through audition, despite the fact that she is a relative with the character.
